Next Number --> ( ( (Position of a current number in the sequence)^3 ) – 2 ) + current number 4: 1^3 – 2 + 4 --> 3 (next number in the sequence) 3: 2^3 – 2 + 3 --> 9 9: 3^3 – 2 + 9 --> 34 34: 4^3 – 2 + 34 --> 96 96: 5^3 – 2 + 96 --> 219 219: 6^3 – 2 + 219 --> 433 So, the last number should have been 433, instead 435.
