2 2 votes The trick is to find LCM of the given 3 numbers first as the phrase "divisible by" is used instead of "divides" . Thus LCM(8,11,24) = 264 But the question says about the number which on adding 5 leads to the LCM. Hence ; x + 5 = 264 ==> x = 259 Hence B) should be the correct answer.
