If 6% is ₹18 then 100% = $\frac{18 * 100}{6}$ = ₹300

$6\% \implies \text{₹}18$

$1\% \implies \text{₹}3$

Say the actual cost is x, and extra(for profit) is y
x + y = 1.12x
x + y + 18 = 1.18x
so, 1.12x + 18 = 1.18x
x = 18/0.06 = 300
