let y=a+b y* means any no 0 or more occurences of y so(a+b)* means any no of a's or any no of b's or combination of both..(so a*, b*,a*b*,b*a* all are included in it)

Is (a+b)* means any combination of a and b or any numbers of a's or any number of b's ?
