let P be Pinky

Queue is like xxxx...xPyyyy….yyyy

number of person ahead of P/number of person behind p =3k/5k

number of person in queue = 3K+1(pinky herself) +5k < 300   given in question

=> 8k < 299

=> k<37.375

therefore k=37

no. of person ahead of pinky = 3*37=111
