We have 3 couples and 3 generation from 8 people and each couple has a child. So, there are two possibilities:

  1. Two couple in generation 2, 1 in generation 1
  2. Two couple in generation 1, 1 in generation 2
Further we know that U, W, R and S are of same gender and S being a daughter means all of them are women.
Q is in 3rd generation and to form 3 couples, we need 3 men. This makes P, T and V men.

V and R are siblings, S is daughter of V, and V and W are not couple. So, that makes U-V a couple.

Now, only female left for generation 1 is W and person working for C being a grand father makes P work for C.

But now we are stuck. We can't have "The person who works with A is the mother of the person who works with F". So, first assumption is wrong.

Two couple in generation 1, 1 in generation 2

The person who works with A is the mother of the person who works with F, who, in turn, is female. This makes person working with F in 2nd generation and person working with A in first generation. Since R is working with B this means U is working with A and hence S is working with F. That leaves V as the grand father and he is working with C. Since the person working with E and G belong to same generation they must be in 2nd generation leaving T is first generation and making a couple with R. Further the person working with G is female means W works with G and P works with E.

2. Who among the following is the spouse of the person working with E?
b. S

3.   Which of the following pairs of persons form a married couple?
